A seasoned veteran and forefather of reggae music, Keith Poppin now lives with his wife Yvonne in Raleigh, North Carolina. His new album 'Journeys' was recorded at Dwight Pickney's Abeng Studio in Kingston, ER Studios in Brooklyn and at NY South and 9th Hour Studios in Raleigh.  Musicians include Dean Fraser, Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare as well as contributions from Jimmy London, the Tamlins, Johnny Lee, Glen Brown and even former Squirrel Nut Zipper saxman Tim Smith of the Countdown Quartet.

This CD is a must have for the reggae enthusiast. Keith's music has the soul of Ken Boothe, the harmony of the Heptones and songwriting power like that of BB Seaton, Delroy Wilson and Brent Dowe.  I was immediately impressed with the classic upbeat rolling tempo of the music.  From Mr. Richman to Envious the songs were amazingly true to form.  Keith should be very proud of his songwriting skills.  He left nothing to chance in this production.  Awesome Lyrics...Nuff said?...  The production and sound quality were unsurpassed.  With the backing vocals of the Tamlims, every song was a joy to listen to.  Keith Poppin should be ready to take the world by storm once again, and take his rightful place as one of the top reggae singers in the world today.
